Power Versus Force #73

Navigating Life’s Unfoldment…

Greetings Resilient Friends,

ARE YOU USING YOUR POWER OR YOUR FORCE?

This seemingly simple question invites a profound and mindful reflection on how we approach the challenges and changes that life inevitably presents.

To answer it, we must first understand the difference between power and force…and how each shapes our journey through existence.

Force: The Struggle Against Reality…

Force is our determination to follow the script we have written for our lives. It is the urge to cling tightly to our plans, expectations, and desires, resisting anything that threatens to disrupt them.

When life does not unfold as we envisioned, force manifests as fear and resistance.

Force argues with reality, attempts to bend circumstances back into alignment with our intentions, and often leaves us feeling frustrated or defeated. Force is reactive. Force is the energy we exert out of fear, anxiety, or stubbornness, demanding that life conform to our will.

Yet, force rarely brings lasting satisfaction, happiness, or peace. It becomes a source of tension, locking us into battles with the unpredictable nature of existence. We spend precious energy trying to control outcomes, fix perceived mistakes, and undo unwanted changes. This constant struggle can make us feel isolated and overwhelmed… as if we are fighting against the very flow of life itself.

Power: The Art of Co-Creation…

Power, in contrast, is the mindful acceptance of unwanted changes and the courage to co-create our lives with the unfolding of reality. It is the willingness to adapt, to work with life rather than against it.

Power is grounded in inner strength, trust, and alignment with our deepest values. Instead of insisting that life unfold according to our script, power recognizes that existence is a process of development and growth… a dynamic journey filled with both anticipated and unforeseen events.

To operate from power is to trust that the universe can handle the details.

We remain true to our values, but we release the need to control every circumstance or outcome. Power is proactive; it invites us to respond to life’s changes with curiosity, openness, and resilience.

When setbacks, delays, or losses arise, power helps us find meaning in them. Every decision, every obstacle, every unexpected turn contains instruction and potential for growth. Nothing is wasted.

Growth: More than Progress…

Existence is not a static state, but a continuous process of unfoldment. Life shapes us through experience, challenge, and change.

Sometimes growth looks like progress… forward movement, achievement, and reward. But also, growth can appear as delay, failure, loss, or even collapse.

These moments, though painful, are essential to our development. They teach us patience, humility, and the importance of trust. They develop our hidden strengths and reveal new directions. Growth is not always linear; it often requires us to let go, to reassess, and to trust the uncertainty.

Aligning Values and Trusting the Process…

If, like me, one of your values is to make a difference with your life… hold that intention.

Let it guide your actions and decisions but allow life to work out the details.

We are responsible for THE WHAT… the passion, the purpose, the commitment to contribute. THE HOW…the details, the circumstances, and the timing are often beyond our control.

Power is knowing that our impact will unfold in ways we may not anticipate, and trusting that every experience, even the difficult ones, plays a role in shaping our journey.

Ultimately, the difference between force and power is the difference between struggling against life and partnering with it.

Force keeps us trapped in frustration and rigidity…power sets us free to grow, adapt, and create.

By choosing power, we embrace existence as a living process designed to shape us. We trust the unfoldment, honor our values, and allow life’s wisdom to guide us. In doing so, we move from mere survival to authentic transformation… becoming co-creators in the story of our lives.

We all make a difference… thank you for yours,

Susan and Maggie 💕🐾
